Biography
SANDI WILDMAN PADNOS
Sandi Padnos has a distinguished
international reputation as a strategic marketing and
corporate communications professional and educator. She is
president of SCOOP, a public relations seminar firm
and SCOOP Consulting (formerly Padnos Ink), a
Los Angeles-based public relations firm, specializing in the
cable, entertainment and interactive industries. She
is currently serving as executive vice president of a
soon-to-be-announced venture in the children's space.
Her firm has served
such diverse clients as Game Show Network, Prodigy,
and AMC. National campaigns included work
with Martin Luther King III for Wisdom Media Group
and the tour introducing e-commerce with America's Favorite
TV Moms -- Florence Henderson, Shirley Jones and Marion
Ross.

Padnos' successful
public relations career spans multiple industries. Her
television and the entertainment industry staff credits
include VP, Communications, Fine Living, one of the
nation's fastest-growing cable television and internet
brands where she was responsible for the company's corporate
communications, media relations and talent relations. She
also held the position of EVP, Corporate Communications,
Marvel Entertainment Group, where her diverse
responsibilities encompassed publishing, film, TV,
interactive, licensing, theme parks and restaurants.
She is also
recognized by colleagues for creating many of the launch
publicity tactics now commonly accepted as industry
standards for a number of programming services including:
Showtime/The Movie Channel, E!, Speedvision,
Outdoor Life, International Channel, and Monitor Channel.
At Disney Channel,
where she led the entire press effort, Padnos conceived and
implemented the nationwide promotional and publicity
elements for the now famous Mousketeer search that is
credited for "discovering" Britney Spears, Christina
Aguilera and Justin Timberlake of 'N Sync.
In her early days,
Padnos served as a first production coordinator for HBO,
publicist for director Robert Altman, and as a
publicist at CBS Records.
Padnos is the
author/co-author of many award-winning public relations
manuals including Getting the Word Out: A TCI Media and
Public Relations Handbook and Theft of Service Combat
Kit. Additionally, she serves as education chair
for EPPS, board member of TPEC, and part-time stage mom for
Corey Padnos, voice of Linus for the Peanuts
franchise and George Little in the upcoming Stuart Little
3.
A former Montessori
teacher, Padnos has a B.A. cum laude from UCLA. |
